Mālama ʻĀina
To care for and protect the land. To recognize the deep connection between humans, who honor the earth, and the earth which sustains them.

Moving through the world with mutual respect, coexistence, and unity for a brighter future. Reflects the harmony between humanity, nature, and the spiritual world.
Why Hawai’i is the Perfect Location

Karen Hirai

As the President of ECO Hawai'i, Karen serves as a visionary community leader dedicated to cultivating a culture of coexistence through the spirit of aloha and the principles of earth citizenship. Her role is to inspire individuals to awaken their true nature and live as responsible global citizens.
Youth Leadership
Ciena Swafford

Ciena is the coordinator of ECO Hawai'i youth leadership events that help people live healthier, benefit the community, and protect the earth. Her role is to empower young people to become conscious leaders rooted in the concept of aloha, the lifestyle of coexistence, and the practice of Mālama ʻĀina.

Phil Kim

Phil ensures the organization's vision is carried out effectively, efficiently, and sustainably through reliable systems, communication, and execution. His operational management role is to oversee that everyday initiatives run smoothly and align with the core values of ECO Hawai'i.
